Welcome to the website for the Committee on Pedestrian and Traffic Safety. The Committee on Pedestrian and Traffic Safety is responsible for all legislative matters related to regulating vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic. As well as on or off street parking, public safety and protected bicycle lanes. In conjunction with the Department of Transportation, the committee is responsible for soliciting public input for the development of the Chicago bicycle and pedestrian plans. In addition to this, the committee works closely with a number of local private organizations dealing with traffic, bicycle and pedestrian safety. Please go to our About page for more information.
